Carly Williams

I’m Carly, a documentary filmmaker, camera assistant, producer, and editor. I am currently working in short format, commercial content and corporate videos. I also have experience in episodic and long-format productions. I grew up in Sarnia, Ontario but have been calling the Greater Toronto Area home for more than a decade.

I have been a storyteller for as long as I can remember and exploring my artistic practices through image and sound has been a wonderful journey that is nowhere near over. I pride myself on being a person who always strives to find new things to learn and new challenges to overcome. That is why I have diversified myself into many roles and formats. I also have just recently completed and been awarded an MFA in documentary production at the Toronto Metropolitan University.

I have experience working with Sportsnet, TSN, Scarborough Health Network, Tennis Canada, The Works and many more.

I pride myself on taking these challenges outside my comfort zone and being agile in researching new technologies, methods, and systems as they are introduced into the world.
